Axis Computers, a subsidiary of the US-based KPO Axis Group, and Noida based
call centre IT&T have merged to create a Rs 40-crore integrated IT services
company. IT&T promoters will hold 70% of the shares of the new company -
Axis IT&T— and Axis shareholders would hold the balance. Axis IT&T
will focus on engineering design and product development in the area of
interactive voice response. “The merger of the two companies is synergistic,
and has coupled the remote processing, quality management, training and business
development strengths of IT&T with the engineering design and software
capabilities of the Axis Group,” Ajay Shankar, founder of Axis, said. He would
also be the group president of the new company.
Other people on the newly constituted
board are Rohit Chand and Ronald Raison. While Raison, who is the CEO of Axis,
USA, will be the vice-chairman of the new company, Chand, former executive
chairman of IT&T, will continue as the executive chairman of Axis-IT&T.
