Automation Anywhere, a global provider in enterprise Robotic Process Automation (RPA), announced it has opened its RPA platform to enable the deployment of software bots on the Automation Anywhere platform by any third-party software provider. New API-triggered bots provide organizations with unmatched flexibility and accessibility to automate a broader set of processes that involve interactions between multiple business systems. This is now possible through a combination of Automation Anywhere RPA and cognitive abilities being able to connect with all market-leading AI and enterprise software providers.
“Much of the success of implementing AI will come from an open ecosystem of providers all working towards advancing the full capabilities of AI technology,” said Mihir Shukla, CEO and co-founder of Automation Anywhere. “Intelligent automation and the addition of API-triggered bots, that can be orchestrated from external systems such as customer service or supply chain systems, open the door to countless uses to enhance operational efficiency. This also empowers organizations to shift human potential toward driving new business growth.”
API-triggered bots are at work in a major telecommunications enterprise. For instance, a new customer account application is approved using cognitive technology, such as IBM Watson, and then a software bot automates the rest of the process. There can now be back-and-forth decision making between the cognitive and Automation Anywhere systems driven by business process logic. This example is applicable to other industries as well.
“We have listened to our customers and opened up our RPA platform for interoperability with third-party software providers via APIs to further optimize enterprise business processes by fundamentally streamlining human-robot interaction, resulting in greater business value,” said Abhijit Kakhandiki, VP of products and engineering at Automation Anywhere.
Automation Anywhere Enterprise Enhancements
In addition to API-triggered bots, Automation Anywhere has received Microsoft Windows Logo Certification, with its products having passed stringent tests for compatibility and reliability on Windows.
Automation Anywhere is now the only RPA provider to offer high availability and disaster recovery at the server and the client levels. This true enterprise-level redundancy is a must-have for Automation Anywhere’s global banking customers.
The following additional platform updates are available:
There is now one-click bot deployment for bots, even those with a complex set of dependencies, enabling organizations to handle more complex business processes with ease.
Automation Anywhere Enterprise has Dynamic Java Automation that runs from bundled Java Runtime Environments (JRE) to streamline automation on virtual machines.
There are expanded options for OCR engines out of the box, allowing customers to choose the OCR engine that provides the highest accuracy.
