Apple is reportedly developing its own artificial intelligence AI language chatbot that will enter the market as a rival of other existing chatbots like ChatGPT, Bard, and Llama.
Apple Inc. has secretly developed the chatbot with the foundation name "Ajax" and tested it internally. The release of Apple GPT for consumers is not decided yet by the executives, reported Bloomberg News.
It is anticipated the company is moving towards building its own large language models to compete with other chatbots including ChatGPT developed by OpenAI, Bard by Google, and Llama by Meta. Apple now aspires to join this AI chatbot club with its AI language model.
The buzz around artificial intelligence is something else right now. Tech giants are all in the race of developing powerful generative AI language models. The unavoidable hype created by Open AI and Google with their chatbots ChatGPT and Bard brought in other industry giants such as Microsoft, Amazon, and so on. Although, at a time when every other company is speculated to come up with its own AI chatbot the name of Cuportino-based company Apple was absent.
However, the news broke out as it is believed that Apple has been quietly working on its AI language model all this while. Amidst all the hype created by the news of Apple GPT company still seems skeptical.
Previously the chatbot was tested on Google Cloud last year. Now, the refined version of it is accessible within Apple only. The step by Apple to share the market of generative AI presents how Apple also aspires to move with the pace of time and develop in the generative AI market after seeing the huge success attained by rival chatbots ChatGPT and Bard.
