Amazon India will conduct a three day free online Machine Learning Summer School for students, for which applications are being accepted from 14 June 2021. The virtual summer school will be conducted from 9 to 11 July 2021 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm followed by an interactive Q&A session. Amazon India says that its Machine Learning Summer School is designed to impart core machine learning skills to make students industry-ready. Participants of the program will have the opportunity to explore machine learning skills with Amazon’s expert scientists.
“Our aim is to prepare students for science roles - this will help to reduce the gap between the growing demand for machine learning roles across companies and the talent pool with applied ML skills,” said Rajeev Rastogi, VP - India Machine Learning at Amazon. The Amazon Machine Learning Summer School program launched on13 June 2021 in India will be an annual occurrence, says the company.

The virtual Summer School is meant for Engineering students enrolled in Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree expected to graduate in 2022 or 2023 from the following institutes of India:

How Students Will Be Selected for Amazon India Free Online Machine Learning Summer School
Interested and eligible students will have to register on the official website before 25 June 2021. Students will be admitted into the virtual summer school based on their performance in a selection test of 45 minutes duration consisting of two parts. Part A will consist of 25 multiple choice questions on basic machine learning concepts and math fundamentals on topics such as probability, statistics and linear algebra, and part B will consist of two programming questions.
