In line with Amazon’s mission of transforming the way India sells Amazon Seller Services Pvt Ltd today announced the launch of the Amazon Service Providers Network (ASPN). ASPN is a network of empanelled third party service providers who will help bridge seller capability gaps in the new digital economy.
ASPN complements and is in addition to the Seller University and Amazon Trained Ecommerce Specialist (ATES) network that Amazon has put in place to enable millions of sellers in the country to take advantage of the fast growing ecommerce industry. All three aim to empower sellers who are not online savvy or constrained by time & expertise to start or manage their online sales channel and succeed on Amazon platforms. While ATES enrolls trained freelancers, SPN is aimed at professionals and small to large companies who specialize in services such as imaging and transportation and seller university is a formal coaching & training program structured for self-learning through online videos, instructor led webinars, face-to-face in institute learning as well as seller forums and workshops.
At launch ASPN has 21 service providers across 35 cities and these include imaging studios, local transportation companies, digital design studios, etc., who have been trained on Amazon systems and processes. Sellers registering with Amazon.in can access information on all service providers through Seller Central, the online resource tool for amazon.in sellers.
Making the announcement, Amit Deshpande, Director Seller Services, Amazon India said “While India’s millions of retailers are getting familiar with online selling and are beginning to participate on marketplaces, a vast majority are first time online sellers who need hand holding to ease their online transition. Through the Service Provider Network, our aim is to create a self-sustaining marketplace of services for sellers to successfully grow their business and thus benefit from the digital economy.”
These service providers offer two services called Amazon Fly and Amazon Boost. Amazon Fly provides an integrated suite of services that a seller can use to launch on Amazon such as preparing Amazon standard catalogue (feed) including product images and creating listings through Seller Central. Amazon Boost offers includes services such as Fulfilled by Amazon shipment creation, managing buyer-seller communication and new product listing to expand selection. Sellers can choose these as a bundled product or cherry-pick services à la carte.
Sellers can use one or more services as per their requirement and pay as they use.
Today ASPN is being used by a wide range of sellers including large retailers like Shoppers Stop, small offline sellers like Max Exports, online sellers like Fashionera and more.
Commenting on the service, first-time seller like the Mumbai-based Rushabh Shah,Proprietor of Graham Solutions who had no prior experience in creating a digital catalog and hence was facing challenges in getting started on Amazon.in said “ASPN is a great service for aiding sellers to quickly ramp up their online strategy. This provides a big leap to companies like us where resources and capabilities are big challenges. As sellers, we don’t have to worry about quality and pricing of these services as we know these are trusted service providers qualified by Amazon. These service providers are trained and do not need any guidance on meeting Amazon standards. It has helped us boost our sales by helping us focus on our core business and outsourcing these services.”
Amazon service provider Rahul Gulati, Founder, Acumen Solutions has seen his business grow substantially after joining the ASPN “We got a chance to work for Amazon.in sellers after rounds of qualification and training sessions. Since our association with ASPN, our revenue has increased over 10 times.
