Bharti Airtel has joined a select group of companies to be empanelled by Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN) – India’s National Incident Response Center for cyber Incidents across India. With this empanelment, the company will be able to offer its cybersecurity solutions to Union and State Governments as well as Public Sector entities, in addition to corporate customers. The telecom giant provides end-to-end managed security services to enterprise customers under Airtel Secure, which combines the company’s network security with other solutions delivered through global partnerships.
Gopal Vittal, MD and CEO, Bharti Airtel, during the launch of the cybersecurity services had said: “We constantly ask our customers what more can we do to help them in their digital transformation journeys. Through these conversations, we have heard that cybersecurity is a critical requirement. Airtel Secure has been built to serve this need. With the incredible trust we enjoy from our customers we believe Airtel Secure will provide our customers peace of mind, enable faster response times to potential threats and help protect their data so as to reduce business risk.”
As part of Airtel Secure, the company has set up a Security Intelligence Centre located in New Delhi that the company says has access to advanced technology and artificial intelligence and machine learning tools to track and mitigate potential online threats. From endpoint protection, email protection to cloud DDOS protection and more, a comprehensive solutions portfolio has been created through strategic partnerships with global leaders such as Cisco, Radware, VMWare, and Forcepoint.
