AICTE PG Scholarship 2023-24: Empowering Postgraduate Students

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), a statutory body of the Government of India has released notification for the AICTE PG Scholarship for the academic year 2023-24. Who is eligible for the AICTE PG Scholarship?

The scholarship is only available for those students who have secured admission to AICTE-approved institutions for postgraduate programs such as M.E., M.Tech, M.Arch, and M.Des. Apart from this, students must have achieved qualifying marks with a valid GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) or CEED (Common Entrance Examination for Design) scorecard to be considered.

How to apply for the AICTE PG Scholarship?

Once the institutions have completed the initial process eligible students should obtain their unique ID from their respective institutes. After receiving the unique ID students may proceed to the online portal for the application process which includes the following steps:

• Uploading a scanned copy of their GATE or CEED scorecard.
• Ensure your bank account is active and linked with an Aadhaar Card.
• Upload a scanned copy of your original Aadhaar Card.
• Submit a valid Category Certificate for SC/ST, EWS, OBC, and Non-Creamy Layer (NCL). The EWS and OBC & NCL certificates should be recent and not older than one year.

Note: The Aadhaar Bridge Payment System (ABPS) mode via the Public Financial Management System (PFMS). Hence, students are required to have an active savings bank account that complies with the guidelines.

Important Dates

The institute is inviting online applications from those who wish to participate in this program. The key dates for the application process include

• Advertisement published in newspapers: 17 September 2023
• Portal opens for creating student IDs and Online applications: 18 September 2023
• Deadline for creating student IDs and online submissions: 30 November 2023
• Deadline for institute verification: 15 December 2023

All eligible students are required to complete their submissions on the AICTE website on or before 30 November 2023. And the institutions in turn will have to finalize the verification and approval process for scholarship eligibility by 15 December 2023.
