IBM announced that Ferns N Petals, India’s leading flowers and gifts retailer, has selected IBM Cloud to improve business processes efficiency and accelerate its growth. IBM will enable Ferns N Petals to move into new geographies and expand its market. As part of the agreement, Ferns N Petals will run its web and mobile applications on IBM Cloud.
Ferns N Petals is a pioneer in the concept of lifestyle floral boutiques. The brand today has 200 outlets across 85 cities nationwide and delivers across 150 countries worldwide. Ferns N Petals plans to set foot in newer markets in the APAC region. Given the nature of expansion, Ferns N Petals required a robust IT infrastructure that could scale up sufficiently, and push the critical applications essential for growth.
Essential to Ferns N Petals continued success was having a system that would enable application scalability. Also, while evaluating the options, seamless integration with its web and mobile applications, cost effectiveness and a robust IT infrastructure were some of the key factors in choosing the best solution. IBM Cloud’s infrastructure as a service provided the combination of pay-as-you-go and scalability to suit business need.
“We selected IBM Cloud to help us deploy our Web and Mobile application which needed a highly robust and scalable infrastructure to meet the constant demands of the market. As we plan to grow our presence in newer markets, we wanted a partner who could support us over the next stage of our international growth. IBM Cloud met all our requirements and helped us continue our strong business momentum,” said Vasanth Kamatgi, CTO, Ferns N Petals.
Apart from scaling operations during peak months, the IBM Cloud will also help Ferns N Petals scale up quickly when it expands operations to international markets.
